The Halpern Law Firm

BRYN MAWR, PA — The Halpern Law Firm has hired three attorneys as it expands its legal practice across Pennsylvania, adding litigation experience to support its representation of clients pursuing claims involving mesothelioma and other asbestos-related illnesses.

The Bryn Mawr-based firm named Julia McQuade, Rachel Cipolat and Kelsey Weber to its legal team, increasing its capacity to investigate asbestos exposure claims, manage complex litigation and represent affected individuals and families.

The appointments are part of the firm’s broader effort to expand its presence in Pennsylvania communities while strengthening its litigation practice.

Cipolat joins with more than 15 years of legal experience spanning civil litigation, mental health law, guardianships, family law, estate matters and appellate proceedings.

Her courtroom experience includes conducting trials and hearings, examining witnesses and developing litigation strategies for complex cases.

Cipolat earned her law degree from West Virginia University College of Law and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Charleston, where she studied athletic administration and accounting.

McQuade brings experience in personal injury, catastrophic loss, professional liability, construction and transportation litigation.

Her background includes managing cases through various stages of litigation, conducting depositions, preparing for trial and representing clients during hearings, mediations and settlement conferences.

She graduated cum laude from Quinnipiac University School of Law and earned an undergraduate degree in political science, with a minor in English, from Saint Joseph’s University.

Weber’s experience includes legal research, case preparation, litigation strategy and the management of complex legal matters.

She earned her law degree from Drexel University’s Thomas R. Kline School of Law, where she served as vice president of the Women’s Law Society and participated in the Marshall-Brennan program. She was also a Dean’s List student and received a merit scholarship for three years.

The additions bring experience across several areas of civil litigation to a firm focused on asbestos-related legal claims, which can involve extensive exposure investigations, medical evidence and complex liability questions.

David Halpern, the firm’s founder and managing attorney, said the hires are intended to support its geographic expansion without reducing the attention provided to individual clients.

“As we continue expanding our presence throughout Pennsylvania, it is important that we continue building a team that can provide the same level of dedication and personal attention our clients have come to expect from us,” Halpern said.

The Halpern Law Firm represents individuals and families affected by mesothelioma and asbestos-related illnesses, including clients seeking legal remedies following diagnoses linked to asbestos exposure.

The three appointments expand the firm’s litigation resources as it continues building its Pennsylvania practice.
