HORSHAM, PA — Grupo Bimbo has released its 2024 Annual Report, “Actions that Transform,” showcasing significant progress in sustainability and reaffirming its commitment to achieving its 2030 and 2050 goals. The report highlights strides in reducing environmental impact through initiatives in electric vehicle adoption, recyclable packaging, regenerative agriculture, and community-focused projects.
Through its “Nourishing a Better World” strategy, Grupo Bimbo is advancing sustainability via three pillars: Net Zero Carbon Emissions, Zero Waste, and Regenerative Agriculture.
Key Sustainability Milestones
- Sustainable Mobility: The company’s electric fleet has grown to over 4,200 vehicles, making it the largest electric delivery fleet in Mexico and Latin America. This is part of the company’s broader initiative to operate 7,757 vehicles powered by alternative energy sources.
- Recyclable Packaging: Grupo Bimbo reported that 94% of its packaging is now recyclable, with a goal to ensure 100% of packaging is recyclable, biodegradable, or compostable by 2025. Additionally, 80 production facilities are achieving zero waste to landfill.
- Regenerative Agriculture: Nearly 300,000 hectares are now under regenerative agricultural practices. By 2050, the company aims to source all key ingredients from farms using these methods.

Additional Achievements
Beyond environmental sustainability, Grupo Bimbo made progress in its “For You” and “For Life” priorities. Under the “For You” pillar, 99% of daily consumption products are now free from artificial colors and flavors, supporting better nutritional profiles and sustainable diets. Under “For Life,” the company implemented 267 community projects across 28 countries, benefiting over 530,000 people through its “Good Neighbor” program.
