WILMINGTON, DE — Global Indemnity Group, LLC (Nasdaq: GBLI) appointed technology investor and healthcare venture executive Michele Colucci to its board of directors, which became effective May 18, as insurers increasingly expand board expertise around artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and risk management.
Colucci previously served on Global Indemnity’s board from 2019 through 2021. Her return comes as insurers face mounting pressure to modernize underwriting, operations, and cybersecurity infrastructure amid growing adoption of AI-driven systems across financial services.

Chairman Saul Fox stated that Colucci’s background in digitalization, innovation, and risk oversight aligned with the company’s evolving strategic priorities.
“Michele brings extensive expertise in digitalization, innovation, risk management and technology, along with significant public and private board experience,” Fox stated. “As the insurance industry continues to evolve, Michele’s perspective on digital transformation and risk management will be a valuable addition to our Board.”
Colucci stated that she plans to focus on technology and strategic transformation initiatives at the insurer.
“GBLI has built a robust platform and reputation within the insurance industry, and I look forward to contributing my experience in technology, innovation and strategic transformation,” Colucci stated.
