PHILADELPHIA, PA — Glenmede recently appointed Brigid Peterson as Director of Endowments and Foundations as the firm expands its outsourced chief investment officer and institutional advisory business serving nonprofit organizations.
Peterson will report to Peter J. Zuleba III and oversee teams responsible for endowment and foundation investments, relationship management and business development, the company announced.
Glenmede stated Peterson will also advise select nonprofit institutions, including foundations and endowments, on investment strategy and fiduciary management.
Peterson joins the Philadelphia-based firm after 16 years at Brown Advisory, where she most recently led the company’s endowments and foundations practice.
According to Glenmede, Peterson previously worked with institutional investment committees, boards of directors and senior leadership teams while helping expand Brown Advisory’s nonprofit advisory platform.
Before entering investment management, Peterson practiced law with a focus on tax-exempt organizations and philanthropic clients.
Zuleba indicated the appointment reflects Glenmede’s effort to expand its institutional investment advisory capabilities for mission-driven organizations.
Peterson holds a bachelor’s degree from Connecticut College and a law degree from University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law.
She also serves on several nonprofit and academic boards, including the Baltimore Community Foundation and the Kennedy Krieger Institute.
