PHILADELPHIA, PA — After months of cold, gray weather, Fishtown is ready to shake off winter in a big way as Evil Genius Beer Company launches the neighborhood’s block party season with its lively “Sprung!” celebration.
Set for Saturday, March 21, the all-day, all-ages event will transform the 1700 block of North Front Street into a vibrant street festival filled with music, food, local vendors, and fresh beer—bringing the community together to welcome the return of warmer days.
“We believe that beer is best enjoyed with good company, warm rays of sunshine, fresh air, and a whole lot of fun,” said Trevor Hayward, co-founder of Evil Genius Beer Company. “We’re throwing this block party to spread positivity, reconnect with our neighbors, and create a space where everyone can enjoy the return of the warmer weather.”
A Full Day of Food, Music, and Local Makers
Guests can expect a festive street scene packed with entertainment and local flavor. DJ Drini will provide the soundtrack for the afternoon, while the MooCheeze Food Truck serves up crowd-pleasing eats alongside other street food offerings.
Inside and outside the brewery’s footprint, attendees can sample fresh beer releases from Evil Genius’ outdoor beer tent while browsing a curated lineup of local vendors and artists.
Shoppers will find everything from Philly-themed apparel by Cracked Bell and stylish shades from Eyerock Sunglasses to handcrafted jewelry from Lily Lough Jewelry and Alien Bratz. Additional vendors include Bold and Broad for home décor and Out of Time Vintage for curated goods.
The event is designed with the whole community in mind, including families and pet owners. Younger attendees can enjoy plush toys from Vamvaki Gifts, while four-legged friends can sport custom bandanas from Brixxy & Co. For those looking to add a little sparkle, Lunar Sparkles Glitter Bar will be on-site offering glitter makeovers.
