PHILADELPHIA, PA — The holiday season in Philadelphia is set to shine brighter than ever as The Comcast Center unveils its annual, free-of-charge, super high-resolution LED holiday show. From November 23, 2023, through January 1, 2024, visitors can indulge in the festive spirit against one of the world’s largest LED video walls.
The 15-minute Comcast Holiday Spectacular combines performances from the Philadelphia Ballet with classic holiday songs. It also features a virtual sleigh ride around the world that promises to be a delightful experience for all ages.
In an exciting development for 2023, a sensory-friendly version of The Comcast Holiday Spectacular will be offered daily, featuring modified sound levels, lighting, and movement to create an inclusive experience for all guests. These shows are scheduled every day at 2:30 p.m.
Next door, at the tallest building in Philly, the Comcast Technology Center, stands The Universal Sphere. This free cinematic experience uses lights, sounds, and movement to showcase the power of ideas. Created by Steven Spielberg, DreamWorks Animation, Universal Destinations & Experiences, and Comcast Labs, The Universal Sphere is a must-visit attraction.
The Universal Sphere is wheelchair-accessible and service animal friendly. It offers closed captioning and Audio Description (AD), full translations available in Spanish and Mandarin Chinese, and has been designated a Certified Autism Centerâ„¢. It also offers daily sensory-friendly shows year-round, with extended hours during the holiday season.
Both The Comcast Holiday Spectacular and The Universal Sphere run daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., with the last show at The Universal Sphere at 7:45 p.m. While the shows are free, advanced registration is recommended for The Universal Sphere.
