PHILADELPHIA, PA — Evil Genius Beer Company is transforming Fishtown into a festival hub this fall, hosting three major street events and a full lineup of themed celebrations running through November. From jam band marathons and family-friendly activities to Bavarian-inspired brews, the brewery’s fall calendar is packed with events designed to draw music lovers, families, and beer enthusiasts alike.
The festivities begin on Saturday, September 13, with the inaugural Phishtown Festival, an all-day jam band marathon on Front Street featuring headline act Runaway Gin, a leading Phish tribute band. The lineup also includes Jah People, a reggae group known for its work with the Eagles Family BBQ, and Dean & Company, a Grateful Dead tribute band. The celebration continues inside the taproom with an after-party performance by Steal Your Face from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
“Our goal was to create a space where music fans can come together and get lost in the music,” said Ryan Keller, Marketing Manager at Evil Genius. “Between the lineup, the vendors, and the atmosphere, this festival captures the energy of Philadelphia’s music scene.”
The following weekend, on Saturday, September 20, Evil Genius will host the Fishtown Family Fun Festival, a free event produced in partnership with Kid Friendly Philly. The block outside the taproom will transform into an interactive playground featuring hands-on activity zones, face painting, balloon twisting, kid-friendly music, and a variety of local vendors.
The series wraps up with Oktoberfest on Saturday, October 4, when North Front Street will become a Bavarian-style celebration with traditional decor, games, and live polka performances. Guests can enjoy four specially brewed German-inspired beers, including “I Love Lamp” Pineapple Hefeweizen, “Is Butter A Carb?” Pretzel Oktoberfest, “What Are You Wearing, Jake From State Farm?” Schwarzbier, and “It’s Britney, Bitch!” Hoppy Kölsch. General admission tickets include a limited-edition Evil Genius stein, with early-bird pricing available.
Beyond the festival series, Evil Genius has planned a robust lineup of fall events, including themed drag brunches, an Eagles Autism Foundation watch party, a Halloween book fair, and a dog costume contest. Seasonal beer releases, including the “Is Butter A Carb?” Oktoberfest Lager and the “Trick or Treat” Chocolate Pumpkin Porter, will also be available throughout the season.
Located at 1727 N. Front Street, the brewery’s taproom will remain open during all events, offering guests the chance to enjoy exclusive craft beer releases alongside food, live entertainment, and community-focused programming.
With its expanded festival series and packed calendar of events, Evil Genius is positioning itself as a central destination for fall celebrations in Philadelphia.
