PHILADELPHIA, PA – PennDOT announced that emergency bridge repairs are underway to address an expansion joint failure that forced the closure of two northbound I-95 ramps in Northeast Philadelphia yesterday.
The affected ramps include the Aramingo Avenue ramp to I-95 North and the Betsy Ross Bridge ramp to I-95 North. While repairs continue, drivers from Aramingo Avenue can access I-95 North via the Castor Avenue or Bridge Street ramps. Motorists from the Betsy Ross Bridge should detour using Richmond Street or Aramingo Avenue.
Significant delays are expected, and travelers are urged to allow extra time when navigating the area.
