CHESTER, PA — Drivers using the westbound U.S. 322 (Commodore Barry Bridge) ramp to northbound Interstate 95 should expect delays over the next three weeks as PennDOT begins overnight concrete repair work in Delaware County.
At a Glance
- Roads Affected: U.S. 322 (Commodore Barry Bridge) ramp to I-95 North
- Dates: Monday, March 30, through Friday, April 17 (weekdays)
- Times: 1:00 AM – 6:00 AM
- Reason: Concrete repair
PennDOT said a weekday lane closure will be in place on the ramp during early morning hours, restricting traffic flow at a key connection point between the bridge and I-95 northbound.
Drivers should plan extra time and expect delays, especially for early commuters and commercial traffic moving through the corridor. The ramp’s reduced capacity may lead to backups extending onto the bridge approach.
No detour has been announced, but motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes where possible, including adjusting travel times or using other regional crossings to avoid congestion.
All work is weather dependent and may be rescheduled if conditions change.
