MILTON, DE — Dogfish Head is introducing a limited-edition cooler with a concealed storage compartment as the brewery and distillery seeks to drive consumer engagement around its ready-to-drink cocktail portfolio during the peak summer selling season.
The company began selling the “Secret Stash Cooler” through its online store this week, pricing the product at $99 and limiting purchases to one unit per customer. Limited quantities will also be offered later this month at Dogfish Head’s Delaware retail locations.
The promotion centers on Dogfish Head’s expanding lineup of canned cocktails, a category that has become increasingly competitive as breweries, distillers and major beverage companies pursue growth in ready-to-drink alcoholic beverages.
Founder and Brewer Sam Calagione framed the product as a response to consumer demand for favorite beverage flavors that often disappear quickly at social gatherings.
The cooler features a hidden compartment designed to separate selected beverages from the main storage area, creating a novelty product tied directly to the company’s cocktail offerings.
Dogfish Head currently markets two cocktail variety packs. Its Vodka Cocktails Mix Pack includes Strawberry Honeyberry Vodka Lemonade, Blood Orange Mango Vodka Crush, Blueberry Citrus Vodka Lemon Drop and Passion Fruit Citrus Vodka Mule.
The company’s Tropical Cocktails Mix Pack includes Blood Orange Mango Vodka Crush, Peach Mango Rum Punch, Pineapple Orange Rum Mai Tai and Strawberry Lime Tequila Margarita.
Each cocktail is packaged in 12-ounce cans and contains 7% alcohol by volume.
The launch highlights Dogfish Head’s continued investment in spirits-based canned beverages, a segment that has attracted growing consumer interest as drinkers seek convenience and cocktail-style flavors outside traditional bars and restaurants.
Dogfish Head noted that its ready-to-drink cocktails are produced using house-made spirits and fruit juices and are distributed through retail channels where consumers can locate products through the company’s online product finder.
