Diversified Search Group Appoints Steven Solnick as Managing Director in Education Practice

PHILADELPHIA, PADiversified Search Group has named Steven Solnick as Managing Director in its Education Practice. Solnick brings over 30 years of leadership experience in higher education, independent schools, and philanthropy to the firm.

Solnick will use his expertise in strategic planning, academic administration, fundraising, and crisis management to enhance the firm’s executive search solutions and client relationships globally.

Solnick’s career includes leading roles at The Calhoun School in Manhattan, where he navigated pandemic responses, diversity initiatives, and strategic partnerships. Before that, he was President of Warren Wilson College, known for its work-integrated learning approach.

At the Ford Foundation, Solnick oversaw grant-making initiatives in human rights, education, and public health.

He holds a Ph.D. in political science from Harvard University, a B.A. in Politics and Economics from Oxford University, and an S.B. in Physics from MIT. He has served on boards including the American Embassy School in New Delhi and Barnard College in New York.
