WILMINGTON, DEInterDigital, Inc. (Nasdaq: IDCC) is set to make a significant impact at the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) in Amsterdam, displaying its latest advancements in video technology. From September 13 to 16, InterDigital will partner with the Ultra HD Forum, IABM lounge, and 5G-MAG Insights Tech Conference, emphasizing the transformative potential of its immersive video codecs and Advanced HDR by Technicolor solutions.

In collaboration with Philips, InterDigital offers the Advanced HDR by Technicolor suite, designed to enhance image quality without compromising bandwidth. This innovative technology allows seamless HDR streaming without altering the standard dynamic range workflow, a critical advantage for broadcasters. The demonstration at IBC will underscore its role in efficiently delivering HDR content across multiple formats.

Visitors to the Ultra HD Forum booth in Hall 3 can witness the benefits of Advanced HDR for the Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC) and Brazil’s Sistema Brasileiro de Televisão Digital (SBTVD) Forum. Notably, Advanced HDR is the only solution enabling continuous live HDR content delivery via ATSC 3.0 stations in the U.S. and is integrated into Brazil’s SBTVD standards. Alongside partners like Ateme, Fraunhofer, and Hisense, InterDigital will demonstrate cutting-edge encoder and display technologies compliant with SBTVD standards.

InterDigital will also highlight its Advanced HDR solutions in the IABM room, focusing on its unique Single Master Workflow. This system supports automatic conversions between SDR and HDR formats, pivotal for live sports broadcasts and other dynamic applications. Recent deployments in European sports events and U.S. market distributions will be featured.

At the 5G-MAG Insights Networking and Tech Conference, InterDigital’s Valerie Allie will present the MPEG Visual Volumetric Video-based Coding (V3C) Immersive Platform. This platform, developed with Philips, supports volumetric video experiences and was recently integrated into the 5G-MAG Reference Tools.
