NEWTOWN, PA — DermDox Group has acquired Modern Aesthetics Plastic Surgery, expanding the Pennsylvania-based dermatology provider into cosmetic surgery and broadening its footprint in the region’s growing aesthetics market.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The acquisition adds three Pennsylvania locations in Newtown, King of Prussia and New Hope and gives DermDox a broader portfolio that now spans medical dermatology, skin cancer treatment, cosmetic dermatology, aesthetic medicine and plastic surgery.
The deal reflects continued consolidation in the healthcare services sector, where physician practices are increasingly combining specialty offerings to create integrated care platforms and attract patients seeking both medical and cosmetic treatments.
Modern Aesthetics Plastic Surgery operates offices at 104 Pheasant Run in Newtown, 700 S. Henderson Road, Suite 230, in King of Prussia, and Modern Aesthetics Rejuvenation at 8 S. Main St. in New Hope.
The acquired practices will retain the Modern Aesthetics name and continue under the leadership of plastic surgeon Dr. Robert Skalicky.
Christopher Puza, president of DermDox Group, stated that the transaction creates a single platform offering dermatology, skin cancer care, aesthetic treatments and plastic surgery services.
“This partnership creates exciting opportunities for our patients and providers,” Skalicky stated. “By joining DermDox Group, we can further expand access to innovative aesthetic and plastic surgery services while benefiting from a broader clinical platform dedicated to excellence in skin health and patient care.”
DermDox stated that patients will continue receiving care from their existing providers and care teams and that the combined organization plans to invest in physician recruitment, technology and expanded patient access.
The acquisition advances DermDox’s strategy of building an integrated dermatology and aesthetics platform across the Mid-Atlantic, bringing together medical and cosmetic specialties under a single organization as demand for elective aesthetic procedures and comprehensive skin care services continues to grow.
