On Thursday, May 30, the county will host its 3rd Annual Sustainability Conference at Widener University, inviting sustainability experts, professionals, and enthusiasts to come together and forge a sustainable future.

The free, in-person conference is set to be a vibrant gathering, where attendees can connect with local and regional experts, share knowledge, and learn how to advance sustainability and resilience in their communities. The theme for this year, “Sustainability in Action,” reflects the county’s commitment to empowering its residents with practical tools and strategies for environmental stewardship.

The conference agenda is packed with opportunities for learning and networking. Registration begins at 8:00 AM, followed by a complimentary breakfast and time for attendees to mingle with exhibitors. The formal programming commences at 9:00 AM, featuring engaging presentations and discussions. A complimentary lunch, which includes grilled, vegan, and allergen-free options, will be served at 12:15 PM.

For the first time, the conference will also feature breakout sessions starting at 1:15 PM. These sessions will offer in-depth content for various groups, including high school students, individuals, businesses, non-profit organizations, and Environmental Advisory Councils (EACs) and municipalities.
