LANCASTER, PA — As the holiday season fades into memory, Lancaster’s Clipper Magazine Stadium is keeping the spirit of giving alive with its 4th annual ‘Pack the Park’ event. From January 22nd to 27th, the stadium will act as a hub for community donations, reminding everyone that the needs of our neighbors continue throughout the year.

The ‘Pack the Park’ event encourages residents to donate a wide range of items. From non-perishable food items like canned soup, coffee, rice, and breakfast cereals to hygiene products such as toothbrushes, hand soap, deodorant, and feminine hygiene products, every donation makes a difference.

The donation drive also welcomes contributions of clothing, toys, housewares, and more for Goodwill. There’s a particularly high demand for thermal underwear, t-shirts, thermal socks, medium to extra-large pants for both men and women, hand & foot warmers, and boots. Items like cleaning products, toilet paper, blankets, pillows, and sleeping bags are also in great demand.

The event isn’t solely about material donations. On Saturday, January 27th, from 9 am to 12 pm, the stadium will host a breakfast where tickets can be purchased for $12 per person, with $8 from each ticket going back to local non-profits.

Cash donations are also welcome and can be made via the Barnstormers’ official website, where a full list of accepted items for donation can also be found.

The yearly ‘Pack the Park’ event at Clipper Magazine Stadium is more than just a donation drive—it’s a testament to the power of community support and a reminder of the ongoing needs within our community. Events like these not only fill immediate needs but also foster a sense of unity and collective responsibility that extends far beyond the holiday season. As Lancaster gears up for another year of giving back, it’s clear that the spirit of goodwill is alive and well in this vibrant city.
