WILMINGTON, DE — Chase will open an 18,000-square-foot Sapphire Lounge at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport on July 16, expanding the premium travel benefits used to compete for affluent credit card customers.

The split-level lounge is located after security in Terminal D near Gate D25. It will serve Chase Sapphire Reserve and other eligible premium cardholders as Dallas-Fort Worth grows as a travel destination for the bank’s customers.

The location includes a full bar, family room, private nursing room, showers and reservable rest pods. Cardholders may also book facials from Face Haus.

Chase will introduce Peloton stretching and meditation programs at the Dallas lounge before making them available across the broader Sapphire Lounge network. Guests will access the sessions through their phones or tablets.

The lounge also includes the network’s first dedicated whiskey room, featuring guided pairings, a rotating cocktail and a selection of Texas whiskeys. The space includes two murals by Dallas artist Kyle Bunting and is designed for sports viewing.

Food service was developed with Encina, a restaurant in Dallas’ Bishop Arts District. Menu items include blue corn butterscotch pancakes during morning hours and bacon with cheddar grits later in the day.

The lounge will serve coffee from Fort Worth-based Cherry Coffee, wines selected by Parcelle and beer and spirits sourced from Texas producers.

“From dishes inspired by the flavors of the Lone Star State to design that echoes the area’s blend of Western heritage and modern skyline, every detail, including the lounge network’s first-ever whiskey lounge, reflects Dallas-Fort Worth,” Dana Pouwels, Chase’s head of airport lounge benefits, stated.

Primary cardholders and authorized users of the Chase Sapphire Reserve, J.P. Morgan Reserve and Ritz-Carlton credit cards may access the lounge. Primary Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business cardholders are also eligible.

Sapphire Reserve, Sapphire Reserve for Business and J.P. Morgan Reserve cardholders may bring two guests at no charge. Additional guests cost $27 each, while children younger than 2 are admitted free.

Eligible cardholders also receive Priority Pass Select membership, providing access to more than 1,300 airport lounges. Entry generally requires a physical card or digital membership credential and a boarding pass for a flight departing within three hours.

Sapphire Reserve cardholders may also use more than 20 participating Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounges and Air Canada Cafés when traveling on a Star Alliance carrier.

Chase is developing another Sapphire Lounge at Los Angeles International Airport, with an opening planned within the next year. The bank operates the lounge network with Airport Dimensions.

The DFW opening follows JPMorganChase’s recently disclosed sponsorship agreement with the Dallas Mavericks, which made the company the NBA franchise’s official jersey patch and banking partner.
