PHILADELPHIA, PA — Char & Stave, the café-by-day and cocktail bar-by-night from Bluebird Distilling, will mark National Coffee Day on Monday, September 29, by giving away free drip coffee all day at its Ardmore and Chestnut Hill locations.
From 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., guests can receive one complimentary 12-ounce cup of hot coffee per person. For those 21 and older, the celebration also includes complimentary tastings of Char & Stave’s Classic Coffee Liqueur.
In addition to the giveaways, visitors can purchase specialty coffee drinks, cocktails, and mocktails. Menu highlights include the Whiskey Smash Latte with barrel-aged espresso and salted whiskey caramel, the Dirty Little 5-Spice with Thai chili bitters, and signature cocktails such as the Char & Stave Espresso Martini and the Caffé Boulevardier.
For at-home enthusiasts, Char & Stave offers its Barrel-Aged Roasts and handcrafted coffee liqueurs, including the Classic Coffee Liqueur, Café Amaro, and Café Agave, all made with beans roasted at Bluebird Distilling in Phoenixville. These products are available in-store and online with nationwide shipping.
Char & Stave is led by Bluebird Distilling founder Jared Adkins, who brings a whiskey-maker’s approach to coffee roasting. The brand emphasizes small-batch production and barrel-aging techniques, blending coffee and spirits culture under its motto, “coffee made by whiskey people.”
Both Char & Stave cafés operate seven days a week, offering a hybrid experience of coffeehouse mornings and cocktail evenings.
