PHILADELPHIA, PA — Center City District will bring back its monthlong “Let’s Do Lunch” promotion in August, offering discounted weekday lunch specials at participating restaurants as downtown businesses look to drive customer traffic during one of the hospitality industry’s slower seasonal periods.
The program runs from Aug. 3 through Aug. 28, with participating restaurants offering weekday lunch specials priced at $10, $15 or $20. Center City District announced the initiative as an effort to encourage office workers and visitors to dine at local establishments.
The promotion spans a range of dining options, including grab-and-go cafés, casual restaurants and full-service eateries, with pricing and menu offerings varying by location.
Center City District President and CEO Prema Katari Gupta said the program is designed to support businesses while encouraging people to spend time downtown.
“Coming downtown means more than getting to your desk. It means running into someone you know, catching up over a meal, and building the relationships that make life and work better,” Gupta said. “Let’s Do Lunch gives people a reason to step outside and discover one of Center City’s many great restaurants.”
Participating restaurants include Alice Pizza & Restaurant, Amma’s South Indian Cuisine, Butcher Bar, Darling Jack’s Tavern, Dolce Italian Philadelphia, Farina Pasta Bar, Gran Caffe L’Aquila, Hard Rock Cafe, Harper’s Garden, High Street, Hi-Lo Taco Co., Koreana Rittenhouse Square, Koto Sushi, McCormick & Schmick’s, Miss Saigon Restaurant & Lounge, Nabrasa Brazilian Steakhouse, New Era Cuisine, Prunella, Puttshack, Real Food Eatery, Thanal Indian Tavern, The Ground Rittenhouse, The Patio at Dilworth Park, Topside Tavern, Veda Modern Indian Bistro and Wilder.
Center City District said hours, menus, pricing and gratuity policies vary by restaurant.
