NEWTOWN, PA — Catalyx appointed manufacturing executive Brent Best as senior vice president of its Automation Solutions Group, as the company expands its automation and AI-driven manufacturing services for life sciences and other regulated industries.
Best joins Catalyx after serving as vice president and general manager at Brooks Instrument, where he oversaw a global division with responsibility for profit and loss management, operational expansion and manufacturing growth initiatives.
The appointment comes as Catalyx continues building its automation business around pharmaceutical and regulated manufacturing environments increasingly adopting AI-enabled production and quality-control systems.
“Brent brings a strong track record of leading complex global manufacturing operations and delivering measurable growth,” Chief Executive Officer Mario L. Rocci Jr. stated.
Prior to Brooks Instrument, Best held senior management roles at Illinois Tool Works, including leadership responsibilities at semiconductor-focused business unit Rippey.
Catalyx indicated Best will help oversee continued expansion of the company’s automation capabilities and customer support operations.
The company recently introduced OpenLine LineClearance Assistant 3.0, an AI-based manufacturing tool designed to automate production line clearance procedures in good manufacturing practice, or GMP, environments.
Catalyx provides machine vision, automation and professional services focused primarily on life sciences manufacturing operations.
