BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Senator Steve Santarsiero (D-10), along with State Representatives Tim Brennan (D-29), Perry Warren (D-31) and Tina Davis (D-141), announced this week that seven arts organizations within the 10th Senate District will receive a total of $307,414 in funding. These funds come from the PA Arts and Culture Recovery Program, aimed at supporting the recovery of the arts scene significantly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Among the recipients are Artists of Yardley ($13,700), Bristol Riverside Theater ($71,653), Bucks County Center for the Performing Arts ($16,718), Bucks County Children’s Museum ($17,522), County Theater ($33,062), Historic Fallsington, Inc. ($10,000), and James A. Michener Art Museum ($80,310).

“Bucks County has a robust and thriving arts community that is enjoyed by residents and visitors alike and contributes significantly to our local economy,” said Senator Santarsiero. “I was happy to support these funds to help with their recovery.”

Representatives Brennan, Warren, and Davis echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the role of the arts in community identity and enrichment. Rep. Davis highlighted the importance of Bristol Riverside Theatre as a beacon for the local arts scene, while Rep. Brennan expressed his support for the four institutions located in his district, namely the Bucks County Center for the Performing Arts, Bucks County Children’s Museum, County Theater, and Michener Museum.

“These institutions each enrich our community in their own unique way,” said Brennan. “We’re fortunate to live in such a dynamic region with so much to offer, to both residents and visitors alike.”

The PA Arts and Culture Recovery Program was created to provide grants to nonprofit arts and culture organizations, local arts and culture districts, and arts and culture professionals located in the Commonwealth. The program aims to ensure the stability and recovery of the Commonwealth’s arts and culture sector from the COVID-19 pandemic.
