Bradford White Unveils Turbo Water Heater Promising 97% Efficiency

Bradford White Corporation

AMBLER, PA — Bradford White is raising the bar for commercial hot water systems with the launch of its new eF Series Turbo, a high-efficiency gas water heater designed to slash energy costs while delivering consistent, high-demand performance.

The eF Series Turbo, the newest addition to Bradford White’s commercial lineup, is available in 119- and 125-gallon models with input options of 399,999 or 499,999 BTU per hour. The company said the unit’s Turbo flue design maximizes heat transfer, achieving thermal efficiencies of up to 97% at 399 kBTU/hr and 96% at 499 kBTU/hr.

Company officials said the new model targets commercial facilities facing rising energy prices and tighter efficiency expectations, while still requiring dependable hot water for daily operations.

The Turbo features a down-fired premix power burner paired with an advanced smart control system that allows burner modulation with turndown ratios as high as 6-to-1. That capability is intended to reduce fuel consumption without sacrificing temperature stability during periods of fluctuating demand.

Additional features include protective powered anodes for extended tank life, building management system integration for Modbus and BACnet via a gateway kit, and Bradford White’s Vitraglas tank lining enhanced with Microban antimicrobial technology. The unit also supports multiple venting materials and diameters, along with common venting for up to three units.

Bradford White said the eF Series Turbo is designed for a wide range of commercial applications where efficiency, durability, and operational cost control are critical, positioning the product as a response to both economic pressure and evolving environmental standards.
