Berks County Homicide Suspect Arrested in South Carolina

READING, PA — The Reading Police Department announced that 24-year-old Jabar Hill. Hill was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals in South Carolina.

Jabar Hill had been wanted in connection to a 2022 murder. According to the criminal complaint, on November 5, 2022, Hill and an accomplice allegedly shot the victim on the 400 block of South 16th Street in Reading. The victim later died from their injuries. Lockman was apprehended shortly after the incident, but Hill remained a fugitive.

Hill has been charged with First Degree Murder, Third Degree Murder, Aggravated Assault, and other related offenses. He is expected to be extradited back to Pennsylvania shortly.
