PHILADELPHIA, PA — Beard Papa’s opened a new bakery location in Philadelphia’s Chinatown on Saturday, expanding its presence in the city’s dining district, the company announced.
The store, located at 104 N. 10th St. near the Chinatown Friendship Gate, is operating with a grand opening scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.
The Japan-based bakery chain specializes in cream puffs made from choux pastry shells filled to order with custard. The Philadelphia location offers several shell varieties, including original, chocolate, Oreo and matcha, paired with vanilla custard and rotating seasonal flavors.
The opening adds a Japanese dessert option to Chinatown’s mix of restaurants and food retailers.
To mark the launch, the company said it is offering promotions during opening weekend, including free cream puffs with qualifying purchases, limited merchandise, and sweepstakes opportunities. Additional details are available at www.beardpapas.com/philadelphia-grand-opening.

Beard Papa’s was founded in Osaka, Japan, in 1999 and operates more than 550 locations across 15 countries and territories.
