Arrest Warrant Issued for Pharmacy Technician Accused of Prescription Pill Theft

Police News

POTTSTOWN, PA — The Lower Pottsgrove Police Department announced that an arrest warrant has been issued for Sade West, a 33-year-old pharmacy technician accused of stealing prescription pills and allegedly selling them unlawfully. The charges stem from her employment at the CVS Pharmacy located at 1833 East High Street in Pottstown, Pennsylvania.

West is described as a black female, standing 5’1″ tall and weighing approximately 170 lbs. She has brown hair and brown eyes. If you have any information about West’s whereabouts, you are encouraged to contact the Lower Pottsgrove Police Department at 610-326-1508 or submit a tip online.

The charges against West include possession with intent to deliver, acquiring or obtaining possession of a controlled substance through misrepresentation, fraud, forgery, deception, or subterfuge, possession of a controlled substance, theft by unlawful taking, and receiving stolen property.

These allegations suggest that West, while working as a pharmacy technician, took possession of prescription pills and then allegedly sold those pills to individuals who were not authorized to possess them.

The warrant for West’s arrest was issued on February 6, 2024. As of now, she remains at large. It’s important to note that these are allegations, and West, like any defendant, is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  As the investigation unfolds, additional details may emerge that could change the current understanding of the case.
