Angeion Launches AI-Driven Review Tool for Mass Tort Cases

Business News

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Angeion Group launched a medical-record review platform aimed at reducing processing delays and cost pressures in mass tort litigation, as law firms increasingly adopt artificial intelligence tools to manage large case inventories.

The new service, called EvidenceEngine, combines AI-assisted analysis with nurse review to evaluate medical records tied to high-volume litigation matters, the company stated.

Medical-record review has become a major operational burden for firms handling mass tort and single-event litigation because large volumes of patient files often require manual review across multiple vendors and legal teams.

According to Angeion, the platform is designed to identify diagnoses, treatments, procedures, provider visits, and eligibility-related documentation relevant to specific claims while standardizing review criteria across cases.

President of Mass Torts and Single Event Dan Miner stated the legal industry has struggled with inconsistent and labor-intensive review processes.

“Medical record review is one of the biggest bottlenecks in mass tort case evaluation,” Miner stated. “EvidenceEngine combines AI-enabled analysis with experienced nurse review to help firms work through complex medical records faster and more consistently, while keeping clinical validation at the center of the process.”

The company indicated the offering is intended to reduce reliance on fully manual review workflows while preserving clinical oversight through human reviewers.

Angeion stated the launch reflects growing demand from plaintiffs’ firms for scalable litigation support services as case inventories and medical documentation requirements continue to expand across mass tort litigation.
