FORT WASHINGTON, PA — Amtech Software has appointed Billy Medof to its Board of Directors, reinforcing its commitment to leadership with deep industry expertise as it continues to innovate within the packaging technology space.
Medof brings over 20 years of executive experience in packaging, procurement, and operational leadership. Currently an Operating Partner at Altamont Capital Partners, he focuses on investments within the packaging sector, bringing both strategic and operational insight to the boardroom.
“Billy brings a rare combination of hands-on industry knowledge, commercial insight, and leadership experience,” said Chuck Schneider, CEO of Amtech Software. “His experience speaks for itself, and we’re excited to have his voice at the table as we continue building the next generation of software for the packaging industry.”
Prior to his current role, Medof served as CEO of Procure Analytics, a large group purchasing organization supporting over 1,000 companies. He was also President of Georgia-Pacific Corrugated, where he led national operations, including the company’s Sheet Feeder business. Medof’s industry leadership includes five years on the executive committee of the Fibre Box Association, including a term as Vice-Chair.
Earlier in his career, he held a mergers and acquisitions role at Delta Air Lines and began his professional journey as a U.S. Army Field Artillery Officer in the 3rd Infantry Division. He holds a degree in Engineering Physics from West Point.
“I’m excited to join the board at such a pivotal time for Amtech and the broader packaging sector,” Medof said. “I believe the company is well positioned to help manufacturers modernize their operations, and I look forward to supporting the team as they continue to drive innovation and growth.”
Medof’s board placement was facilitated through Vista Equity Partners’ external board program, which aims to equip and connect highly qualified professionals with portfolio companies. Vista, a global technology investment firm and majority shareholder in Amtech, launched the program in 2017 to strengthen leadership diversity and operational performance across its holdings.
With this appointment, Amtech gains a seasoned voice in industrial transformation, signaling its intent to stay ahead in delivering software solutions that meet the evolving needs of the packaging industry.
