HARRISBURG, PA — Michael Sealover, a 45-year-old resident of Adams County, Pennsylvania, was sentenced to 300 months, or 25 years, in prison for producing child pornography. The sentencing was announced by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and was handed down on December 5, 2023, by United States District Court Judge Jennifer P. Wilson.

In addition to the prison term, Judge Wilson ordered Sealover to serve 15 years on supervised release following his incarceration and to pay $5,100 in assessments.

Sealover had previously pleaded guilty to the charges. According to United States Attorney Gerard M. Karam, Sealover admitted to contacting multiple pre-adolescent girls online in July 2020. He deceived them by posing as a teenage boy to gain their trust and subsequently manipulated them into sending him sexually explicit images.

Sealover falsely promised his victims cell phones as compensation for the images. If the victims resisted his demands or expressed distress about being exploited, Sealover threatened to publish their images online unless they complied.

The case against Sealover was jointly investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Adams County District Attorney’s Office. Assistant United States Attorney Christian T. Haugsby led the prosecution.
