PENNSYLVANIA — The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) has issued a warning to customers about the website OneStopBourbons.com. The site falsely identifies its address as 5956 Centre Ave. in Pittsburgh, where a Fine Wine & Good Spirits store is located. However, the PLCB has clarified that there is no association between the website and Fine Wine & Good Spirits, FWGS.com, or the PLCB itself.

Customer complaints about this misrepresentation started coming in during the summer. With the start of the holiday season, inquiries to the Centre Avenue store about the legitimacy of the website have surged. The PLCB has also received complaints from customers who allege they placed orders on the site and paid for products that were never delivered.

Pennsylvania residents are reminded that only certain licensed distilleries are authorized to sell and ship liquor to them. Moreover, the PLCB is the sole retailer authorized to sell liquor in Pennsylvania. In addition, only the PLCB and holders of sacramental wine licenses, importers licenses, and direct wine shipper licenses are legally permitted to import alcohol into Pennsylvania.

Customers are encouraged to read and consider reviews of websites before placing orders. This can help determine a website’s legitimacy and reliability.

Violations of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code are enforced by the Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement (BLCE). The public is being urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities related to the sale of liquor.
