HARRISBURG, PA — Pennsylvania driver’s license and photo centers will close statewide from Saturday, Oct. 10, through Monday, Oct. 12, for the Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples Day holiday, temporarily shifting customers to PennDOT’s online services.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will reopen its centers following the three-day closure.
Customers can continue completing many driver and vehicle transactions online throughout the holiday. PennDOT’s online services operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, without additional service fees.
Available transactions include driver’s license, photo ID and vehicle registration renewals; address changes; driver-history services; driver’s license and photo ID duplicates; and payment of driver’s license or vehicle insurance restoration fees.
Motorists can also obtain driver’s license and vehicle registration restoration letters, complete REAL ID pre-verification and schedule driver exams online.
Forms, publications and driver training manuals will remain available through PennDOT’s Driver and Vehicle Services website at https://www.pa.gov/dmv.
