PENNSYLVANIA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced that all its driver’s license and photo centers, including the full-service center in Harrisburg, will be closed on Saturday, November 11, 2023, in observance of Veterans Day.
Additionally, the full-service center in Harrisburg and the Pittsburgh Driver License Center location will also close a day earlier on Friday, November 10, 2023.
Despite the closure, PennDOT reassures the public that a variety of driver and vehicle products and services will still be accessible online through PennDOT’s Driver and Vehicle Services website. These online services, available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, include driver’s license, photo ID and vehicle registration renewals; driver-history services; changes of address; driver license and vehicle registration restoration letters; ability to pay driver license or vehicle insurance restoration fee; driver license and photo ID duplicates; and driver exam scheduling. There are no additional fees for using these online services.
For those planning to visit one of PennDOT’s On-Line Messenger Service Centers, it is advised to call ahead for hours of operation during holidays. A complete listing of PennDOT driver and photo license center closings in 2023 is also available online.
Pennsylvanians are being encouraged to make use of the online services during this period and plan their visits to the centers accordingly.
