PENNSYLVANIA — The Pennsylvania State Police have announced that they hold an active arrest warrant for 31-year-old Angel Hassan Rodriguez.
Rodriguez has been charged with 24 counts of Commercial Burglary, 24 counts of Theft by Unlawful Taking, and additional releated crimes.
The Pennsylvania State Police from the Trevose Station in Bucks County, along with investigators from multiple local police departments, alleged they have obtained compiling information into at least twenty-nine (29) different commercial burglaries that occurred in ten (10) different counties throughout eastern Pennsylvania that occurred over nine months, beginning in October of 2022.
Investigators allege that in each of these burglaries, gas stations or smoke shops that contained skill machines (slot machines) were targeted and either two (2) or three (3) perpetrators made entry into the establishments by breaking the front glass door with a rock. Once inside, the perpetrators gained entry to the cash boxes contained within the skill machines by kicking open and/or jumping onto the machines. The perpetrators, on occasion, also stole money from the cash register, stole Newport cigarettes, and lottery tickets.
Through the investigation, two (2) of the perpetrators have been identified. Devon Lamar Norman was charged in relation to this investigation and arrested on March 29, 2023, and is currently in prison awaiting trial. Additionally, Angel Hassan Rodriguez was charged in relation to this investigation on March 29, 2023. Currently, the Pennsylvania State Police hold an active arrest warrant for Rodriguez.
The identity of the third actor is not confirmed.
Based on the information obtained by investigators, it is possible that these individuals committed numerous additional burglaries throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and/or Delaware.
