VALLEY FORGE, PA — Vanguard has elected David Hunt and Ken Jacobs to its board of directors and to the board of trustees for each of the Vanguard funds, effective February 24, 2026, the company announced.
Hunt is a former president and chief executive officer of PGIM, where he led the firm’s global investment management business for 13 years. He has more than 35 years of experience in financial services and strategy consulting.
Jacobs is senior chairman of the board of Lazard Inc. and previously served as the firm’s chairman and chief executive officer for 14 years. He has nearly four decades of experience in global financial services.
“We are pleased to welcome David and Ken to the board. Their long track records of disciplined leadership, thoughtful governance, and global perspective within the financial services industry will meaningfully enhance the board’s capabilities,” Vanguard Chair Mark Loughridge said in a statement.
Vanguard, founded in 1975, provides investment management, advisory and retirement services to individual investors worldwide. The company operates under an investor-owned structure in which its fund shareholders own the funds, which in turn own Vanguard.
