TekniPlex Targets Medical Device Manufacturing at Industry Expo

Tekni-Plex

WAYNE, PA — TekniPlex Healthcare will present its integrated medical device manufacturing capabilities at MD&M Midwest 2026 in Minneapolis on October 28–29, positioning its materials development, precision tubing, and device assembly operations as a combined service for medical equipment manufacturers.

The Wayne-based company plans to demonstrate how medical device manufacturers can consolidate stages of product development, from selecting specialized materials to producing catheter components and assembling finished devices.

The presentation comes as device manufacturers face increasingly complex production requirements, particularly for interventional products that depend on precise material specifications, component dimensions, and manufacturing processes.

At Booth 3903 in the Minneapolis Convention Center, TekniPlex will focus on three areas: custom materials and formulations, precision tubing and catheter construction, and component manufacturing and assembly.

Its materials operations develop specialized compounds designed to meet the performance requirements of medical devices.

The company’s extrusion capabilities include single- and multi-lumen tubing, extruded jackets and braided catheter shafts. Its manufacturing operations also encompass precision-molded components and finished-device assembly.

TekniPlex is emphasizing earlier coordination between materials development and manufacturing, an approach intended to help customers identify production constraints before products reach commercial-scale manufacturing.

The company also provides support for process development, quality requirements, product qualification and supply considerations as devices move toward production.

“Device teams are being asked to support new care settings and more demanding therapies while moving faster to market,” said John Zawacki, senior director of strategic marketing at TekniPlex Healthcare.

Zawacki said combining materials science, precision tubing, and catheter construction allows manufacturers to address technical decisions earlier in the development process.

The October 28–29 exhibition will provide TekniPlex an opportunity to present those capabilities to medical device original equipment manufacturers evaluating development and production partners.
