PARKESBURG, PA — The GIANT Company is scheduled to open a 60,000-square-foot supermarket November 6 at The Shoppes of Sadsbury, establishing the grocery chain’s 13th Chester County location and advancing development of a 360,000-square-foot retail complex near the intersection of Routes 30 and 10.

The new supermarket will serve as a major anchor for the Sadsbury Township shopping center, where Target is scheduled to open May 17, 2027. The two retailers are expected to support additional commercial development as the property moves through multiple construction and leasing phases.

The opening will expand GIANT’s presence in western Chester County while adding a major grocery destination to a retail corridor already served by Walmart Supercenter and The Home Depot at the neighboring West Sadsbury Commons.

The Shoppes of Sadsbury is also expected to accommodate Burlington, HomeGoods and PetSmart, along with other national retailers and smaller anchor tenants.

Several businesses are already operating at the development, including Chick-fil-A, Chipotle, Starbucks, Wendy’s, Jersey Mike’s, Wawa, Verizon and Aspen Dental.

The project includes transportation improvements intended to accommodate additional commercial traffic and provide access between the two major highways.

Nova Way, a newly opened five-lane connector linking Route 30 and Route 10, provides access to the shopping center. New traffic signals have also been installed along both corridors.

According to Soloff Realty & Development, the surrounding road network carries a combined traffic volume exceeding 58,000 vehicles per day. Nova Way is projected to accommodate between 16,000 and 20,000 vehicles daily.

Those figures represent traffic volumes and projections rather than customer counts for the shopping center.

The development’s next phase remains in the leasing stage.

Soloff Realty & Development is marketing Phase III, designated as the Town Center portion, for additional retailers and commercial tenants. Available space includes smaller retail units, end-cap locations, pad sites, and freestanding buildings suitable for larger stores.

The phased development combines grocery, general merchandise, restaurants, and service businesses at one of western Chester County’s major highway intersections.

GIANT’s November opening will mark the next scheduled milestone, followed by Target’s planned arrival in May 2027 as additional portions of the commercial complex are developed and leased.
