Agilis and Elemica Partner to Launch First End-to-End Digital Commerce and Execution Platform for Chemicals

NEWARK, NJ & WAYNE, PA — Agilis and Elemica have formed a strategic partnership to deliver what they describe as the chemical industry’s first fully integrated solution connecting digital buyer engagement with network-enabled order execution. The joint platform is designed to streamline the chemical buyer journey from product discovery to delivery, while reducing costs and creating a data-rich foundation for artificial intelligence applications.

The collaboration merges Agilis’ ionicPIM-powered digital engagement and commerce tools with the Elemica Network and iFlow platform, which handle execution across orders, shipments, and invoicing. The result is a unified system intended to address long-standing challenges in the chemical sector, including fragmented ERP environments, inconsistent product data, and labor-intensive manual processes.

“Agilis was founded to modernize how chemical companies engage with their customers online,” said Jay Bhatia, CEO of Agilis. “By uniting our expertise in product data digitization, digital customer experience, and commerce with Elemica’s global multi-enterprise execution network, we are delivering the industry’s first end-to-end solution—fast to implement, easy to scale, and purpose-built by chemical experts for chemical companies.”

Elemica CEO Paul Carriero emphasized the importance of integrating both engagement and execution. “Manufacturers need both sides of the equation: a modern digital buying experience and the ability to execute simple to complex orders across their networks. By partnering with Agilis, we are enabling chemical companies to scale faster, reduce cost-to-serve, and build an AI-ready foundation on top of real execution data.”

According to McKinsey & Company research, more than 75% of B2B buyers prefer digital or remote channels, and nearly 40% are comfortable placing orders worth $500,000 or more online. For chemical manufacturers and distributors, failure to modernize risks lost revenue, customer attrition, and higher servicing costs.

The Agilis + Elemica solution offers branded digital portals and catalogs for product discovery and ordering, along with orchestration of fulfillment across global supply networks. The companies say pilot deployments can be rolled out in three to six months, far faster than the 18 to 36 months typical of in-house approaches.

Available immediately, the platform supports SAP-certified connectivity, API-first integration, and scalability across new products, partners, and regions. By combining standardized product data with harmonized execution data, it also positions chemical companies to adopt AI-driven planning and decision-making more effectively.

For an industry under pressure to improve efficiency, meet rising digital expectations, and prepare for data-driven innovation, the Agilis and Elemica partnership represents a step toward comprehensive modernization.
