EXTON, PA — Innovative Aerosystems (NASDAQ: IA) secured an electric aircraft development and production agreement that could exceed $50 million, positioning the avionics manufacturer to supply flight-deck systems for a planned 2028 commercial launch.

The company will design, develop, manufacture and deliver the main display system and supporting avionics architecture for an electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, using its Liberty Flight Deck technology.

Engineering work is expected to begin in late 2026, with initial production targeted for the second half of 2027.

Innovative Aerosystems expects to reach sustained production levels during 2028 to support the aircraft developer’s planned commercial rollout that year.

The customer has accumulated orders for more than 400 electric aircraft from partners, according to the company.

Innovative Aerosystems estimates that forward-fit orders, covering equipment installed during aircraft production, could generate more than $50 million in contract value. Aftermarket support and related services could provide additional revenue.

The agreement expands the company’s presence in advanced air mobility, applying its existing experience in certified avionics, integrated flight decks and aircraft display systems to an emerging aviation market.
