AMETEK Adds Former Hexcel CEO to Board Amid Expansion Push

BERWYN, PA — AMETEK (NYSE: AME) appointed former Hexcel Corporation chief executive Nick L. Stanage to its board of directors, adding an executive with aerospace and industrial manufacturing experience as the company continues expanding its technology and industrial portfolio.

Stanage previously served as Hexcel’s president beginning in 2009 before becoming chief operating officer in 2012, chief executive officer in 2013 and chairman in 2014. Following his retirement in May 2024, he remained executive chairman through November 2024.

AMETEK Chairman and Chief Executive Officer David A. Zapico pointed to Stanage’s industrial operating background and leadership experience in global manufacturing markets as factors behind the appointment.

Hexcel manufactures advanced composite materials used in aerospace, defense and industrial applications.

Before joining Hexcel, Stanage held leadership roles at Dana Holding Corporation, where he led the company’s heavy vehicles and commercial vehicle businesses. Earlier in his career, he spent two decades at Honeywell in a series of engineering and operational leadership positions.

Stanage currently serves on the boards of Hexcel, Huntington Ingalls Industries and TriMas Corporation.

He holds a mechanical engineering degree from Western Michigan University and an MBA from University of Notre Dame.
