Vishay Introduces RF Power Divider for Aerospace, 5G Applications

Vishay Intertechnology

MALVERN, PA — Vishay Intertechnology Inc. (NYSE: VSH) has introduced a two-way Wilkinson power divider and combiner designed for use in aerospace, defense, and high-frequency connectivity systems.

The device, designated WLKN-000, operates across a frequency range of 15 GHz to 20 GHz and is built in a compact 1817 surface-mount package intended to reduce board space and simplify system design.

Vishay said the component delivers insertion loss below 0.5 dB under 19 GHz and provides return loss between 10 dB and 15 dB, supporting signal efficiency and performance.

The integrated three-port design allows the device to function as both a divider and combiner, reducing the need for additional external components.

The company said the device also provides output-to-output isolation of less than 20 dB at the center frequency, helping limit crosstalk and maintain stability across radio frequency signal paths.

The WLKN-000 is designed to operate in temperatures ranging from minus 55 degrees Celsius to 155 degrees Celsius, supporting use in environments such as satellites, radar systems, and defense platforms.
