MALVERN, PA — Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) announced the recent release of a new low-profile, high-current inductor designed for space-constrained commercial applications.
The IHLP1212-EZ-1Z inductor features a 3.0 mm by 3.0 mm footprint and is available in three height profiles of 1.2 mm, 1.5 mm, and 2.0 mm, offering performance comparable to larger devices.
The component is intended for use in DC/DC converters, power management integrated circuits, and filtering applications, including industrial equipment, consumer electronics, telecommunications systems, and medical devices.
The inductor supports inductance values ranging from 0.22 microhenries to 3.3 microhenries and provides rated current up to 14.3 amps, with typical direct current resistance between 8.6 milliohms and 50.4 milliohms.
It operates across a temperature range of minus 55 degrees Celsius to 125 degrees Celsius and is designed to handle transient current spikes without saturation.
The device uses a powdered iron construction that encapsulates its windings to reduce electromagnetic interference and improve stability across operating conditions.
Vishay said the inductor is built with a lead-free composite structure designed to reduce noise and withstand thermal, moisture, and mechanical stress.
