WEST CHESTER, PA — Helix Bar Review by AccessLex Institute announced the launch of Helix NextGen, a bar preparation program designed for the NextGen Uniform Bar Exam set to debut in July.

The company said the program is available five months ahead of the exam’s first administration and is designed to align with the updated testing format while focusing on active learning, practice, and personalized study plans.

Helix Bar Review said the program was developed by AccessLex Institute, a nonprofit selected by the National Conference of Bar Examiners to co-develop official practice materials for the new exam.

“The true measure of any bar prep program is how responsibly it equips students for arguably the most important exam of their lives,” said Cynthia Cassity, chief operating officer at Helix Bar Review and senior vice president at AccessLex Institute. “Every aspect of Helix NextGen was developed with these responsibilities at its core.”

The company said the program emphasizes adaptive learning and real-time adjustments to study plans based on individual progress.

Features include segmented course content designed to improve retention, practice tools covering multiple exam formats, and a five-day intensive review period leading up to the test.

Helix also integrates well-being and resilience training into the program, alongside tools that allow students to generate customized practice quizzes.

Cassity said the program is intended to provide a more tailored experience as the exam evolves. “What will distinguish bar prep providers moving forward isn’t history or legacy, but investing in students’ journeys and providing thorough preparation,” she said.

Helix Bar Review said it has focused on expanding access to bar preparation since 2019 by offering multi-format instruction, including video lessons, workshops, and visual learning tools.

The NextGen Uniform Bar Exam represents a shift in how legal knowledge and skills are assessed, and Helix said the new program is designed to reflect those changes.

AccessLex Institute said its broader goal is to improve student outcomes by combining research-driven learning methods with increased accessibility to preparation resources.
