WAYNE, PA & BOSTON, MA — PurpleLab® announced it has acquired KAID Health, an AI-powered clinical analytics and care management company, in a deal aimed at enhancing its ability to deliver insights across both structured and unstructured healthcare data.
The acquisition integrates PurpleLab’s HealthNexus® platform, which provides real-time analytics on billions of HIPAA-compliant, clinically harmonized data points, with KAID Health’s Whole Chart Analysis™ technology. KAID’s platform uses artificial intelligence and natural language processing to extract information from electronic medical records and clinical notes, enabling more accurate coding, quality reporting, and improved care management.
PurpleLab CEO Mark Brosso said the acquisition positions the company to shift beyond traditional analytics. “By combining our data with KAID’s AI, we can unlock insights from the unstructured clinical narrative and deliver measurable value and proven financial impact to our partners and other healthcare organizations,” Brosso said.
The combined capabilities are designed to help clients:
