AMETEK Closes $5 Billion Indicor Instrumentation Deal

BERWYN, PA — AMETEK, Inc. (NYSE: AME) recently completed its $5 billion all-cash acquisition of a portfolio of instrumentation businesses from Indicor LLC, adding operations expected to contribute about $350 million to 2026 sales and modestly increase adjusted earnings this year.

The acquired businesses, collectively referred to as Indicor Instrumentation, design and manufacture instrumentation for industrial and scientific applications and generate recurring revenue from consumables, services and aftermarket support.

AMETEK will divide the businesses between its Electronic Instruments Group and Electromechanical Group based on product and market alignment.

“We also see meaningful opportunities to create value through integration into our proven operating model,” Chairman and Chief Executive Officer David A. Zapico stated.

The transaction expands AMETEK’s exposure to industrial and scientific end markets while adding a larger base of recurring aftermarket revenue.

Indicor Instrumentation is expected to contribute approximately $350 million to AMETEK’s 2026 sales. The company also expects the acquisition to be modestly accretive to adjusted earnings in 2026.

AMETEK had previously disclosed the transaction before completing it in an all-cash deal valued at $5 billion.
