BERWYN, PA — Four attorneys at Berwyn-based McAndrews, Mehalick, Connolly, Hulse and Ryan P.C. have been selected for Pennsylvania’s 2026 Super Lawyers and Rising Stars lists, extending the firm’s recognition in special education law, estate planning and legal services for individuals with disabilities.
The selections include firm founder Dennis McAndrews and Michael Connolly, who were named Super Lawyers, along with Rachel Rosenberg and Jennifer L. Simons, who received Rising Stars recognition.
The annual designations are issued by Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters rating service that evaluates attorneys through peer nominations, independent research and professional assessments. The Super Lawyers list recognizes no more than 5% of attorneys in a state, while Rising Stars selections are limited to 2.5%.
McAndrews received the Super Lawyers designation for the 23rd consecutive year, continuing a recognition record spanning more than two decades.
He founded the firm, which concentrates on special education, school-related injuries, estate planning, estate administration and specialized trusts.
Connolly earned his third consecutive Super Lawyers selection. He serves as the firm’s chief executive officer and supervising partner of its Special Education Department.
With more than 25 years of legal experience, Connolly represents children with disabilities and their families in administrative proceedings and litigation in state and federal courts.
His practice includes disputes involving public and charter schools over special education eligibility, educational programming, student placement, tuition reimbursement, disciplinary actions, bullying, discrimination and school-related injuries.
Rosenberg received her third consecutive Rising Stars designation for her work in the firm’s Special Education Department.
A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School, Rosenberg represents children and families in matters involving educational rights and legal protections.
Simons also earned Rising Stars recognition for the third consecutive year. She practices in the firm’s Estates and Trusts Department, handling estate administration, wills, trusts, special needs planning, elder law and guardianships.
Simons earned her law degree from Widener University Delaware Law School and worked at the firm while completing her legal education.
The selections recognize attorneys across two principal areas of the firm’s practice: educational advocacy for individuals with disabilities and estate and trust planning.
Super Lawyers uses a selection process incorporating professional achievement and peer evaluations. The designations reflect recognition within the legal profession rather than judicial findings or independent measurements of client outcomes.
For McAndrews Law Offices, the 2026 selections continue a multiyear record of recognition among attorneys serving families, individuals with disabilities and clients requiring estate and trust services.
