KENNETT SQUARE, PA — LCH Health and Community Services has added nurse practitioner Emily Rooney to its Kennett Square health center as the organization expands patient access and preventative care services in southern Chester County.
Rooney joins the clinical team with more than a decade of healthcare experience and will provide patient care focused on preventative medicine, chronic disease management and community wellness, according to the organization.
“The two words that guide my practice are empowerment and teamwork,” Rooney stated. “I believe that every person deserves access to quality healthcare and the resources to care for themselves and their loved ones.”
Rooney described preventative care as a central part of her clinical approach, emphasizing screenings, medical therapies and lifestyle interventions aimed at preventing disease or identifying conditions before complications develop.
LCH Chief Medical Officer Dr. Joseph A. Greco said the addition of Rooney will help increase appointment availability for patients seeking primary care services in the Kennett Square area.
“Her background as a dedicated nurse and her collaborative approach to medicine make her an incredible asset to our patients,” Greco remarked. “By bringing Emily on board, we can open up more appointments for new patients who are looking for medical care where they feel heard and respected.”
LCH noted that it is currently accepting new patients and offers services through Medicaid, Medicare and most private insurance plans. The organization also provides sliding-scale fees for uninsured patients based on income and household size.
