WEST CHESTER, PA — Gawthrop Greenwood litigator Jack Larkin has been named in The National Law Journal’s Trailblazers. Larkin is the only Chester County lawyer named on the national list in the Plaintiffs’ Lawyers category, and one of only five attorneys who is from the tri-state area.

The National Law Journal is recognizing its sixth annual list of Plaintiffs’ Lawyers Trailblazers this month, announcing, “We received a very competitive list of nominations cast in favor of this year’s honorees… Our list includes a wide array of plaintiff’s lawyers, all of which prove to be born leaders. We are proud to spotlight a handful of individuals that are truly agents of change.” Honorees are spotlighted by their practice areas in The National Law Journal and by their region in The America Lawyer.

Larkin is a partner at Gawthrop Greenwood, PC, with offices in West Chester and Greater Wilmington, and the head of the firm’s Litigation Department. Significant recent trial matters he has handled include several federal employment discrimination defenses, a federal copyright infringement defense, and multiple sexual harassment and assault cases.

Prior to joining Gawthrop Greenwood, he was an appellate litigator in the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, where he appeared regularly before the Pennsylvania Superior Court and periodically handled appeals to the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. He continues his appellate practice today, civilly, before the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and Pennsylvania’s Superior, Commonwealth and Supreme Courts.

Jack’s published works have appeared in law journals at the Georgetown University School of Law, Vanderbilt Law School and the University of Florida Law School, in the American Journal of Trial Advocacy, as well as in the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Bar Quarterly and At Issue publications.
