Frontline Education Wins Two Awards for AI Teacher Training

Frontline Education

WAYNE, PA — Frontline Education’s artificial intelligence training program for K-12 educators has received two national education technology awards, recognizing a professional development initiative designed to help school districts establish standards for classroom AI use, instructional planning and academic integrity.

The Wayne-based education software provider said its Frontline Professional Growth x AI for Education program won in both the Primary and Secondary Education categories of the Tech & Learning Awards of Excellence: Back to School 2026.

The recognition covers a four-course professional development program developed by AI for Education and delivered through Frontline’s existing educator training platform.

The program addresses a growing operational challenge for school districts: preparing teachers to use generative AI while establishing consistent expectations for its appropriate use in instruction and student assignments.

Rather than focusing exclusively on individual AI applications, the courses emphasize technology literacy, instructional decision-making, ethical considerations and academic integrity.

“AI is advancing faster than any one set of tools or practices can keep up with,” said Joel Sackett, chief product officer at Frontline Education. “For school districts, the priority is to build the knowledge and judgment educators need to adapt as the technology evolves.”

The training consists of four courses covering distinct aspects of AI use in education.

GenAI Literacy in Practice: Essentials for Every Educator introduces teachers to generative AI and helps them evaluate when the technology is appropriate for professional tasks.

AI-Powered Planning: Using GenAI to Design Better Instruction focuses on incorporating AI into lesson development while allowing educators to adapt instructional materials to student needs.

Using AI Responsibly: Ethics in Practice for Educators examines potential risks and ethical considerations associated with AI-assisted educational work.

AI-Ready Students: Teaching Responsible Use and Academic Integrity addresses classroom expectations for student AI use, including maintaining independent thinking and academic standards.

Through Frontline Professional Growth, district administrators can distribute the courses across multiple schools, monitor completion and establish common expectations for staff training.

The arrangement integrates AI instruction into an existing professional development management system rather than requiring districts to administer the training separately.

“AI literacy starts with educators understanding the principles behind the technology, not simply learning how to use a single tool,” said Amanda Bickerstaff, co-founder and chief executive officer of AI for Education.
