WEST CHESTER, PA — A. Duie Pyle has opened a 78,760-square-foot warehouse in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, combining storage and freight transportation operations at an existing distribution site as the West Chester-based logistics company expands its integrated supply chain network.
The new warehouse, located at 485 Terminal St., operates alongside Pyle’s existing less-than-truckload service center at 475 Terminal St., creating a single logistics campus serving customers across the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Ohio.
The expansion adds warehousing capacity directly adjacent to an established freight terminal, allowing inventory storage and transportation services to operate from the same location.
The arrangement is intended to reduce the number of transfers between facilities and shorten the process of moving goods from storage into regional distribution networks.
Pyle said the integrated operation will allow customers to maintain inventory closer to major markets while using the company’s existing transportation infrastructure for deliveries.
“Connecting inventory and transportation under one roof creates a stronger, more responsive supply chain,” said Frank Granieri, chief commercial officer at A. Duie Pyle.
“This investment enables us to reduce touchpoints, improve coordination and deliver a more integrated supply chain solution that helps customers gain greater visibility, flexibility and control over their inventory.”
The Camp Hill location provides access to Interstate 81, Interstate 76, Interstate 83 and U.S. Route 15, connecting the facility to freight corridors serving central Pennsylvania and surrounding markets.
The warehouse is intended to support industries requiring frequent inventory replenishment, including healthcare, medical supplies and manufacturing.
The additional space also allows existing Pyle customers to expand their warehousing operations at the site while providing distribution capacity for new customers.
The opening follows Pyle’s earlier groundbreaking of an integrated warehouse and less-than-truckload service center near the Port of Virginia in Suffolk, Virginia.
Both projects are part of the company’s strategy to combine warehousing and transportation operations at selected locations within its distribution network.
The Camp Hill expansion extends that model to an existing Pennsylvania freight terminal, adding storage capacity without separating warehousing operations from the company’s regional transportation services.
A. Duie Pyle is a family-owned logistics provider with 102 years of operating history, offering transportation, warehousing and other supply chain services.
