MALVERN, PA — Rajant Corporation has appointed Cris Boyd as its new chief growth officer, bringing more than three decades of experience in defense operations, technology integration, and strategic business development.
Boyd, a retired U.S. Army officer with 32 years of service, held key leadership roles across the Infantry, Signal Regiment, and Army Acquisition Corps. His military career included assignments in product and project management, culminating as deputy chief of staff for operations at the U.S. Army’s Research, Development, and Engineering Command (now CCDC DEVCOM).
Following his retirement from the Army, Boyd transitioned into the private sector, specializing in business development and customer relations. His work focused on integrating emerging technologies into defense priorities and strengthening partnerships across industry sectors.
“Cris’s extensive background in defense operations and his proven ability to bridge innovation with mission requirements make him an outstanding addition to our executive team,” said Bob Schena, CEO of Rajant Corporation. “His leadership will be instrumental as we continue expanding Rajant’s global footprint and advancing our role in edge networking for critical industries.”
In his new position, Boyd will oversee Rajant’s growth strategy, leading efforts to expand partnerships, drive customer engagement, and deliver advanced edge computing solutions to targeted markets, including defense, mining, warehouse automation, ports, and energy.
“It is an honor to join Rajant at such a pivotal time for intelligent edge networking in the industry,” Boyd said. “I’m excited to work with this exceptional team to strengthen our relationships, expand our markets, and continue delivering solutions that meet the real-world demands of our customers.”
Boyd has assumed his role and is based at Rajant’s U.S. headquarters in Malvern, Pennsylvania.
