WAYNE, PA — Ecovyst Inc. (NYSE: ECVT) recently appointed Laurie Bergman chief financial officer, replacing Michael Feehan as the Wayne-based specialty chemicals company shifts responsibility for its finance organization.
Bergman, 49, joins Ecovyst after serving as chief financial officer of Legacy Food Group since July 2024. She previously held the CFO role at Liquid Environmental Solutions from June 2021 to June 2024.
Before that, Bergman served as chief accounting officer, corporate controller and vice president of accounting at UGI Corp. from February 2019 through June 2021.
Chief Executive Officer Kurt J. Bitting cited Bergman’s finance and accounting background and experience implementing growth strategies as factors in the appointment.
“We are confident that she will bring high-caliber skills and proven experience in implementing growth strategies to her new role with the Company,” Bitting said.
Bergman also serves on the board of Arq Inc. (Nasdaq: ARQ), where she chairs the audit committee, and on the board of QNB Corp. (Nasdaq: QNBC), where she is a member of the audit committee.
She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration from Temple University.
Feehan is expected to remain with Ecovyst through Sept. 30 to help transition his responsibilities to Bergman.
Ecovyst supplies regenerated sulfuric acid, virgin sulfuric acid, sulfur dioxide and related derivatives.
