PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Ocean State Job Lot will hold an eight-day hiring event beginning Aug. 3 to recruit part-time employees for its new Phoenixville store, expanding the discount retailer’s footprint in southeastern Pennsylvania.
The walk-in hiring event will run Aug. 3-7 and Aug. 10-13 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Hampton Inn, 100 Cresson Blvd., in Phoenixville. The company will conduct open interviews for part-time retail store specialist positions and temporary part-time retail store associate roles on both morning and evening shifts.
Applicants may interview without an appointment, though the company recommends completing an application through its online job board before attending to streamline the hiring process.
Bob Selle, vice president of Ocean State Job Lot, said the hiring events are intended to connect local job seekers with opportunities at the new store.
“These hiring events are a great opportunity for local job seekers to meet our teams, learn about the roles available, and explore what it’s like to grow with OSJL,” Selle stated.
The retailer indicated that eligible employees may receive benefits including medical, dental and vision insurance, paid time off, profit participation, a 401(k) plan and a 30% employee store discount, in addition to competitive wages and flexible scheduling.
Founded in 1977, Ocean State Job Lot operates 175 stores across 11 states, including Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware. The privately held retailer employs nearly 7,000 people and reports annual sales exceeding $900 million.
Current openings for the Phoenixville location are available through the company’s online job board.
